Product description

A really beautiful, petrified Pepper Tree slice, Schinoxylon actinoporosum, discovered in the Green River Formation, Laney Shale Member, Eden Valley, Wyoming, USA.

The wood dates from the Eocene Period, 50 million years old.

Flowering plants, or angiosperms make their first appearance during the Early Cretaceous Period, 140 million years ago.

An unusual, and desirable piece of petrified wood.
